Community Based Research : A Golden Motive to be a Bigueño
In conducting the Community Based Research in Arts and Culture of Vigan, I shall be saying this with a sigh, it's really hard to compose a single research about your own locality but I can also say that it’s really worth the wait for all the process and everything we do to finish our tasks in Information and Communication Technology, I am also grateful to our leader who is leading us in a good path so that our research will be graded as perfect. Conducting a good topic for Research is worthy of all because our topic is Arts and Culture of Vigan, that challenges me which is Vigan is one of the city that has an Arts Festival which is the Binatbatan Festival of the Arts, but in this Research we conduct and explore what are the locality and traditional own products that we are proud and worthy of as a Filipino. The research is filled with sacrifice, time management, challenges that we encounter and also new discoveries. As I have reflected on my/our Research Conduct adventure, there are plenty of insights you need to know and to showcase the beauty of the product of the City.
Moreover, I also learned the pride of local products like Abel and Vigan burnay that we should preserve and conserve for the next generation. As a student and a loud and proud Bigueño (citizen of Vigan) I am honored to cultivate and explore those highly traditional and local products of the City. It has been a useful lesson to learn how to clearly define study objectives and appreciate the importance of communication in group settings, especially when conducting research. Being open minded and Negotiate helps to navigate cultural sensitivities and local dynamics, which aids in developing a greater understanding of community needs and perspectives.
The broader significance of my research is highlighted by its influence. In addition to contributing to scholarly discourse, research can have a positive social change impact. Acknowledging the effects of one's discoveries and investigating options for communication and application bring out the transformative potential of research efforts. The importance of interacting with the population being studied is emphasized throughout the study. Making connections, getting people talking, and including the community in the research process are all necessary for it to be effective. Additionally, I learned that participant autonomy, informed consent, and anonymity must all be carefully taken into account while doing community-based research.

To sum up, my insight about the Community Based Research on the Clothing and Crafts of Vigan City has been a challenge for me and for my groupmates besides it was fun and great experience. The exploration addresses a demonstration on how to preserve and showcase the products through the importance of Vigan City's crafts and clothes. By showcasing the importance of tradition when it comes to our Arts and Culture. We as a team learn a moral lesson that we must value and protect our "sariling atin", we should be a voice for the worksmens of the local products such as the clothing and crafts so that we can encourage future generations as well as the great tourist to visit and bought the locality products of the Vigan City. We must not forget our history on the contrary, be proud and happy about the crafts and clothing our town treasure.
#ForFutureGeneration.
